We were thrilled with the My Perfect Christmas book. From the dedication at the front, through to pages of perfectly digitally illustrated pictures. Ethan loved seeing himself in the story.

Initial thoughts: Aimed at children between 3 and 7 years old, My Perfect Christmas is a personalised digitally photo illustrated book. Upon placing your order you are asked to provide a good quality head shot photo of your child which is then digitally illustrated into various scenes and  woven into the book’s Christmassy tale. We eagerly anticipated the book’s arrival as the examples on the website looked brilliant.

The book is made from good quality silk paper and the cover has a wipe clean coating. It reminded us of a high quality theatre brochure.

We liked: We were thrilled with the My Perfect Christmas book. From the dedication at the front, through to pages of perfectly digitally illustrated pictures. Ethan loved seeing himself in the story. The quality of the graphics and photo integration is excellent. The story is beautifully written and helps set a magical scene in anticipation of Father Christmas’ arrival.

We weren’t keen: There were a couple of small niggles, firstly the wipe clean backing was slightly peeling away on the back cover but since this book is seasonal and will be put away in a few weeks time I’m sure it’ll last longer than if it were played with everyday. Secondly, one of the staples that holds the book together wasn’t quite big enough to reach the centre page effectively, over time it will need addressing.

Overall: My Perfect Christmas is  beautiful personalised book. It made us feel warm, fuzzy, and festive inside. We all enjoyed the pictures, the story and the sentiment behind the book. To receive in time for Christmas, order before 14th December.
