Initial thoughts: When my 2 year old son saw the BHF Noah’s Ark box, he was so excited to play! We opened the set, which was nicely wrapped in protective paper and started to put together the ‘Ark’.  The wooden toy and the animals were all a really good quality – nice, solid wood and they were painted lovely.  It was mega easy to set up – in fact, once I’d unwrapped it all, my son put it all together!!

We liked: I love the fact that it is a toy that allows some imagination.  I dug out an old book I had which told the Noah’s Ark story and I told him it as we played, so not only was it fun, it was educational too!  However my son also played independently with the toy- I didn’t need to be present.  There were no tiny pieces or sharp bits and it was blissfully quiet!  Plus we had an extra nice surprise as I didn’t notice that the Ark had a ‘trapdoor’ at first – it had a door that came down so you could actually walk the animals into the Ark!

We weren’t keen: Unfortunately we didn’t get all the bits that were pictured on the box.  It didn’t say that the box was a guide or list the exact contents, so I kind of expected everything pictured to be in there.  We received the Noah and Wife figures, and the pairs of elephants, giraffes, camels, crocodiles, zebras and lions but there were doves pictured too which weren’t in our box.

Overall: It is a really nice, quality floor toy that would make an excellent present and you’re also helping a good cause when buying this toy.  It kept my son entertained for ages. The Noah and wife figures even have magnets on their bottom and the top of the Noah’s Ark toy is magnetised so you can have all the animals inside and the people on top and act out a stormy sea scene!
