Build a Bear

I can’t fault the staff at our local Build a Bear store, they were exceptional and made the morning a really fun experience for Flea. She loves her soft toy and so does her cousin. But at £50 apiece, I don’t think she loves it enough to make this value for money. Other experienced parents have told me the way to make Build a Bear Work is to give kids a price limit before you go into the store, and then let them spend it how they choose – so it’s possible to get a bear for £9.99 and an outfit for another £10 or so. And it helps if you buy something at Build a Bear with 2 feet, rather than 4!

Initial thoughts: When I say that I love Lego, I mean that I really love Lego and I was so excited to review the new Robo Champ game. I had seen this new range advertised on TV and I couldn’t wait to get stuck in – in this game you are in a competition to build a robot with all of the same coloured parts. Sounds easy – but your wicked opponents can steal your pieces at the turn of the dice.

We liked: Working out how to build the robots before we played the game and stealing all of mums red bits just as she was about to win. Another total victory for TotallySonny!

The game is really easy to play and loads of fun. It says that it is for 6+ years and I’m thinking that it’s mainly because of the small pieces because both of my little sisters thought it was great too.

You can also add other robots that you have designed yourself out of your own Lego. I have so much Lego that I could build a whole army.

We weren’t keen: There wasn’t anything about this toy that I didn’t like.

Overall: This is a brilliant toy and something that you can play and build by yourself – or play with your friends or family. I would like to collect the whole range.
