Pure Love Activity Blocks

Initial Thoughts: Sometimes you know you’re getting a quality product for your baby before you even open the box, and that’s how I felt about the Pure Love Activity Bricks.

The packaging is absolutely lovely, and gave a wonderful impression – it’s a box with a heart shape on the front that you can put a photo inside, making a lovely keepsake. I thought the box meant this toy would make a perfect gift for a new arrival. Once we opened the package we discovered a set of exquisite little bricks, each soft and neutral in colour.

We liked: As a Mum, I liked that the Pure Love Activity Bricks are made from organically grown cotton, and free from any dyes or bleaches. Each brick has a little chime inside and makes a slightly different noise when shaken, encouraging babies to explore and develop their listening skills. They’re also fabulously soft and tactile, and my little one loved picking them up and exploring the designs.

We weren’t keen: It’s a small point but perhaps the blocks are missing a little colour – the off-white shade is pretty but not terribly practical or exciting for little ones.

Overall: These beautiful activity bricks from Pure Love aren’t something Mums would tend to buy for themselves but the soft feel, quality packaging and organic credentials make them a perfect gift for newborns. They’re a perfect way to introduce little ones to letters and numbers, but they’re pretty enough to put on a shelf away from curious fingers!
