“Most children love to carry around stuff. Who knows what it is, but it’s VITAL. As a result, the Micro Scooter Bag has been a tremendous hit in our house.”

Mini Micro BagInitial thoughts: Flea has owned a Mini Micro scooter for almost two years now, and it still gets regular use. This Mini Micro bag fixes to the upright pole of any Micro scooter and has simple, velcro fastenings.

It’s available in a pink handbag style or a blue backpack style. It comes complete with a set of plastic parts to screw to the scooter, which you then hook the bag onto, which seemed a bit intimidating, but was easily done.

We liked: One of the things that’s a problem with scooters and bikes as a rule, is that little kids like to carry around stuff. If their hands are busy, operating a scooter, this means Mum or Dad ends up carrying around stuff. Not good. So I like the idea that Flea can take her own toys to the park, and Flea has had great fun this weekend emptying and filling her Mini Micro backpack repeatedly. The bag slots fairly easily into the plastic clip on the scooter, and I do like the fact that it’s washable.

We weren’t keen:  I hate that Micro tells me this bag is available in two designs – pink for girls, and blue for boys. But I’m picky like that. Also, I’m not sure if having spent £55 on a scooter, I’d want to spend another £15 on a little bag to clip to the front – on other scooters, the bag often comes included in the price.

Overall: The Mini Micro bag is a really cute, kid-friendly accessory that I’d recommend if your child is a dedicated user of their Micro Scooter. It’s been designed with little hands in mind, and is practical and well made. Not essential, but a nice extra for summer outings.
