The whole family had a lot of fun with this set. We were all impressed that we managed to make something that looked like a dog!

Initial thoughts: When I opened the balloon modelling kit I had no idea how cool it was going to be. It was packaged in a small box that had a bag of balloons, a pump and some instructions. Basically everything that you need to turn you into a balloon modelling pro!

We liked: Learning how to do all of the different twists to make the animals was a lot of fun. It was pretty tricky though, and it did take all of us a few tries to get anything to work. We started with the basic poodle and we were all impressed that we managed to make something that really did actually look like a dog!

I managed to make a giraffe too – that wasn’t in the instructions – though his legs were a little short! Dad didn’t manage to make anything that looked remotely like an animal but he was pretty funny and even my little sister (6) had a really good go at making a dog.

We weren’t keen:
I would have liked the instructions to be a bit easier to follow as some of them were really quite tricky. I still can’t work out how to make the swan but I am sticking with it. I would have liked more ideas of things to make too.

Overall: This is a really great toy. It’s not something that I would ever have chosen for myself but I have loved playing with it. I think that it is a really good thing to buy for a birthday or Christmas gift because the whole family can join in. This kit will give you hours of fun and you never know after all of the practice you may be able to rent out your skills at parties!
