I didn’t hold out much hope for the purse, after reading that it was made from recycled rubbish, but I was in for a shock!

Initial Thoughts: I didn’t hold out much hope for the purse, after reading that it was made from recycled rubbish, but I was in for a shock. These striking purses come in three colours and are made from recycled juice cartons which would otherwise go to landfill or incinerators. They are made by a women’s cooperative in the Philippines. Cartons are sorted, sanitised and dried, and then sewn together, transforming them into these wonderful, green products.

We Liked: The purse is Big and bright, I was pleasantly surprised at the size and my daughters managed to fill it with an array of toys. This sturdy zip purse not only looks great, but it also supports community trade and saves waste from going to landfill.

We weren’t keen on: This is a great purse but the top edges near to the zip are very sharp and could cause some serious damage if it gets into the hands of little ones. Other than this though I can’t find any more negatives.

Overall: For the price this is a lot of purse for your money and it is so bright and colourful.  The Museum can use the funds made from the sale of this purse to continue to carry out pioneering research, care for their internationally important collections and inspire people to take better care of the natural world.
