The Joke Box – Grafix

It looked like it was going to be lots of fun – I also decided not to tell anyone I had opened the joke box so they were totally not expecting anything – ha ha ha!

Initial thoughts: What boy my age doesn’t love a good joke? This joke box from Asda is perfect for playing tricks on your family and includes fake bugs, fake poo and other tricks. It looked like it was going to be lots of fun – I also decided not to tell anyone I had opened the joke box so they were totally not expecting anything – ha ha ha!

We liked: The box looked like a lot of fun, and I enjoyed tricking the whole family. On my Mum’s birthday, Dad made her a plate of his famous Chinese dumplings. They were in the fridge waiting to be cooked and I slipped a little something from the Joke Box onto the plate.

When Mum pulled them out, she screamed, “Oh my God, there are bugs in the dumplings!” I started really laughing and then she realised what I had done.

My next trick involved the fake poo. I think that you could only get away with this one if you had a small dog like we do cause the fake poo was just about the right size. I went into the front room and shouted. “Oh no mum, the dog had done a poo in here.”

“Eurghhhhh”, she said. “Why do I have to do all the rubbish jobs around here – and on my birthday too?” Dad said he would do it. So over he came with some paper and the cleaner. When he realised it was a joke, he really laughed too.

We weren’t keen: There were only four things in the box – so there weren’t that many tricks that I could play. It would have been fab if there were a few more.

Overall: The Joke Box is a really good toy if you like to have a laugh with your friends, and I think boys of my age would really like it.
