Initial Thoughts: When we received this, I had to wrack my brains a little to make the Toy Story connection – but this is the pizza planet delivery truck that Buzz and Woody ride in during the first Toy Story movie. This set is over 8 inches long, and is aimed at 7-12 year olds. The box includes a truck, Buzz, Rex and Hamm figure and a secret switch that makes the truck fire pizzas!

We liked: Flea’s cousin Harry is only 5 but he was able to build this in a couple of hours, with a little help from his Dad, so I would say it’s actually suitable for younger children than the recommended range. The truck itself is pretty robust when it’s put together, and the pizza firing tool is a nice touch.

We weren’t so keen: Honestly? It’s a truck. It didn’t particularly capture the imagination of my nephew and it hasn’t come back out of the box since it was first built. The truck doesn’t play a major part in the film so this limits the film-based role play for children. It’s possibly a better set for children who are already fans of trucks and lorries.

Overall: This is a lovely quality set, as you would expect from Lego, and suitable for children aged 6+, providing you don’t mind providing a little support. However, our testers didn’t really connect this vehicle to Toy Story and certainly not Toy Story 3. There are other Lego sets on the market this summer that look more exciting, I think
