Initial Thoughts: I always love Orchard Toys Games, and this one didn’t disappoint.
We liked: The game is really well made and will last the test of time and 2 small boys. You can either play with it like a puzzle (just selecting which pieces go with which, either put together the correct people or to see who can make the silliest combo). There is a game which goes with it, but the 3 year old preferred using the toy like a puzzle rather than a game. The 5 year old enjoys the game but prefers just to see what ridiculous combinations he can put together. From an adults point of view there is enough subversive humour to keep me interested too, but I’m not sure teaming the fireman with the Queen’s legs will be quite as funny for everyone else as I found it the other day, but it certainly kept me interested in the game. I like the toys creativity, the idea that there isn’t only one right way to play it or one right way to solve the puzzle. It’s led to a lot of laughter in our household.
We weren’t keen: The game seems a little contrived and not the most interesting, but you don’t need to follow the rules to enjoy it the toy.
Overall thoughts: Well made game which kept the boys interested and will be good value for money.
