PDSA Pet protector club
The PDSA Pet Protector Club is a great introduction to charity fundraising it would be nice if there was a section on keeping pets too.

Initial Thoughts: We were quite impressed with this as a bundle of stuff, it includes badges, a bag, magazines and a year planner. It all comes in a neat folder, and is quite attractively laid out.
We liked: The range of goodies included in the bag, which were all inside a folder and includes badges, magazinr and a year planner
We weren’t keen:. The children were disappointed though to find that the magazines were so old that the various competitions were all closed, as they do enjoy entering competitions. And when we looked into the Pet Protectors award scheme it seemed that it’s more a PDSA protectors award scheme, as all the points are awarded by doing things to help the charity rather than helping pets directly. I would prefer that there was a little more education about keeping pets involved and some encouragement to be helping animals directly, rather than just fundraising for a charity. The drive seemed to be about fundraising rather than learning about keeping pets
Overall: This bundle of stuff didn’t hold the attention like some clubs have in the past, would very much depend on the individual child’s interests.
